Vision

Zac Carpenter Music is a team and family of passionate worshippers of Jesus who have a heart to see many grow in a life of adoration and surrender to the

Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our vision is to encourage all people to grow in their relationship with Jesus through daily worship. God calls us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24), as a lifestyle; so whether we are in a church meeting, a train station, a festival or doing the washing up, we can bring glory to Jesus and declare how worthy He is of our praise.

We believe that in Him our minds will be renewed and we will be transformed into His likeness as we praise.

The story so far

Zac started ZCM out of a passion for music that turned into a desire to carry the good news of Jesus through songs. After studying for 3 years at The BRIT School and in collaboration with his classmate, Josh Glaves, he entered a busking competition which led him to join the Network Rail busking scheme.

Initially, Zac started busking secular music to raise money for a Christian gap year course. Zac started interspersing these songs with ones from church and noticed a change. One day whilst busking at Paddington station, he started singing songs to Jesus, suddenly he found he was worshipping rather than just singing.

God started moving in such a powerful way, people started joining in, lifting up Jesus’ name in the middle of a busy train station in one of the biggest cities in the world.

After finishing his gap year course and having to stop due to COVID-19 lockdown, Zac felt that God was leading him back out into the stations to carry on worshipping, now with the purpose of bringing a new sound of hope, joy and salvation into our city but also to encourage others to get out there and proclaim the name of Jesus however they can.

Hope & Joy Band

Through the busking, Zac has had many opportunities to worship at different events and for that, he invited a group of friends to form the Hope & Joy band that join him on many adventures.

Zac’s Testimony

“I was born in Croydon into a Christian household, so church was always part of my upbringing. We joined the new church plant of Croydon Vineyard in 2013. At the age of 13 my parents said it was my choice whether I wanted to go to church or not.

At that point I had experienced the power of the Holy Spirit and wanted to explore what it meant to live for Jesus. I decided to get baptised because I knew God was real and I wanted to give my life fully to Him.

At that time I started getting more and more interested in music and wanted to make it my career.

I left my school for one that focused on performing arts with the intention to become a part of the music industry. For the following two years I wrestled with my faith and what the world had to offer. I was living two lives, one where I was drinking and going to parties, whilst trying to be a good Christian on Sundays.

At the age of 16 I was at a party and experienced my lowest moment. All the hurt I had caused myself and others for the last two years flooded my thoughts. I was so consumed with pain (and alcohol) that I thought I may not survive another day. In my despair I cried out to Jesus on the floor of the bathroom and just started worshipping Him. I prayed to Him “If you allow me to live, I will give everything to You.” Since then I have been living my life solely for Jesus, letting him take over every single part of my life, not just some of it.”
